Andrea is an Italian illustrator who studied illustration and design at ISIA Urbino and Escola Massana in Barcelona. Since 2013, he has worked for both magazines and publishing houses in various countries.
He was selected for the Illustrators Exhibition at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair on three different occasions. In 2017, he won the Andersen Prize for Best Book for Ages 6 to 9 alongside Vincent Cubellier for La zuppa dell’orco. More recently, in 2019, he also won the award for Best International Illustrated Book at the China Shanghai International Children’s Book Fair for La grande battaglia.
From a very young age, he has been incredibly fascinated by animals, which is why they are often the focus of his colorful and curious illustrations. He now lives in Bologna with his dog, Mirto, and a cockatoo.
